Claude Nahon has worked at EDF since 1978, where she has held several senior leadership posts. Most recently Claude Nahon has served as Executive Vice President of Sustainability and Environment at EDF Group, where she has strived to promote environmental and societal issues within the Group, and to deepen dialogue with stakeholders.
In addition to her activities within EDF, Claude has served as a council member representing EDF to the WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development). She is a member of the board of Météo-Climat (a French NGO working on dissemination of climate science and raising awareness ) and Vice-President of IDDRI (the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations). She is a member of the leadership council of the United Nations SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network) created by Ban-Ki moon and headed by Pr. Jeffrey Sachs, which focuses on sustainable development goals.
Prior to 2003, Claude served as EDF’s Deputy Director for hydropower and renewable energy. She is a graduate of École Polytechnique.
