EMENA Sustainability Manager, Nestle Purina Petcare
Nathalie Bonnet is passionate about Sustainability and is determined to “be the change [she] wishes to see in the world.” After a MSc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering at KTH, Sweden and 4 years as a consultant in Energy, Building & Climate strategies at Ecofys (Spain) and Inddigo (France), she decided to join Nestle to become a catalyst for change within the leading food manufacturer to have a great impact on our climate.
As a Corporate Energy Specialist at Nestlé, she developed the DIY tool, which provides 375 energy- & water saving solutions to the 360 Nestlé factories, by working hand-in-hand with 40 process specialists. She also built and led a network of 90 Energy Champions and facilitated over 15 energy audits and participatory workshops (~20 participants each) globally, delivering project investment plans and Sustainability Masterplan for the sites/markets.
Today Nathalie is the Sustainability manager at Nestlé Purina EMENA, supporting 14 factories in 8 countries reduce their environmental footprint. She is responsible for building and driving the Sustainability strategy including on Renewable energy as well as driving implementation by building alignment, competences, tools and governance for Sustainability. She is leading several sustainability networks and working groups to identify and implement new opportunities. Finally, she strives to build Sustainability leadership in the business by engaging colleagues across all functions on how they can contribute to a Sustainable future in their role and in their life.
In her free time, Nathalie strives to reduce her personal impact and to engage others to do their part. She practices and promotes #plogging on the social media. She also serves in a collective aiming to empower and enable citizens to act on climate change individually and collectively.
